About Oklahoma

Google Map

With high physician compensation rates and a low cost of living, Oklahoma is a fantastic place to set yourself up financially, whether you’re considering a 3-5 year contract in the state or a permanent move. With a cost of living 24% below the US average, Oklahoma in fact has been rated in recent years as the lowest cost of living in the country. Much of these low prices is due to Oklahoma’s quite significant output of energy and agricultural products, as well as being the site of manufacturing for many consumer goods. Additionally, gas isn’ a huge expenditure with average commute times around 20 minutes. All of this means that your strong income in this state combined with low costs for housing, goods and services, will mean more savings and disposable income for you and your family. Any physician with loans should think about what the extra savings of living in Oklahoma could do for their debt burden!
