About Iowa

Wondering just how low the cost of living is in Iowa? Even looking in some of the most expensive neighborhoods in the state, a 4 bedroom 2000 square foot home is, at most, $220,000. For most of the state, this price is significantly lower. In many areas, the most expensive daycare available runs about $600 a month. Most schools are strong, as teachers self select- they really want to be in the school district they are in. Class sizes are small, and there truly isn’t a need for private schooling, as public schools in Iowa produce a large number of National Merit scholars. If you are interested in private schooling, you will find great options at low rates. Prices are lower across the board- from gas to groceries and more.
